This year, thousands of people across the province of BC will rely on the advanced skills of unpaid professionals in the SAR community to save their lives. Whether it’s a search, rescue, public assistance (searching for children and the elderly), general education, or an organized disaster response, these professional search and rescue responses all require significant funding — and you can help!
With approximately 4,000 volunteer hours every year, CFV SAR receives an average of 3 calls per month to provide ground and inland water search and rescue services to the municipalities of Abbotsford, Langley City, Langley Township and Sumas Mountain.
On every call, our team of dedicated unpaid professionals utilize their extensive training, personal protective equipment, trucks and boats, and their own time to assist those in need in the community. In order to meet the growing demand for SAR services in our region and to provide outstanding professional search and rescue services to our community, we require significant financial support.
